Happy weekend! While highly anticipated movies like Coyote vs Acme and Onslaught have hit theaters, there’s plenty to watch from home, whether you’re renting or streaming. Here are some of our favorite picks.
After its theatrical release in May, The Mandalorian and Grogu is now streaming on Disney Plus, adding a new adventure for Mando and Grogu as bounty hunters in the fledgling New Republic.
Over a decade after the release of Scary Movie 5, Scary Movie (2026) is now streaming on Paramount Plus. The film reunites the key players from the original cast, resulting in a movie that will leave millennials feeling nostalgic, for better or worse.

1 The Mandalorian and Grogu

The Mandalorian feels like it came out a lifetime ago. The series kicked off a new generation of Star Wars stories for the small screen, introducing us to the bounty hunter Din Djarin and his adorable apprentice/ward, Grogu. The movie takes our protagonists on a new adventure, introducing new characters and planets, and some much-needed growth for the cutest baby in the galaxy.

The Mandalorian and Grogu technically takes place after the events of both The Mandalorian season 3 and Ahsoka season 1, but none of that really matters. Everything you need to know is revealed in a static title card (no crawling text here), which explains that the masked Mandalorian known as Din Djarin (voiced by Pedro Pascal, with much of the physical performance done by Lateef Crowder and Brendan Wayne) and his puppet friend Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) are now working as bounty hunters for the fledgling New Republic. Reporting to Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver), they track down various Empire supporters hiding out on the outskirts of the galaxy.

3 The Runner

Gal Gadot stars as a lawyer in London who receives a phone call informing her that her son has been kidnapped. The caller then sends her on a chase through the city, completing different and mysterious tasks in order to save her kid.
4 The Wrong Girls

The Wrong Girls follows two co-dependent best friends who, after a case of mistaken identity, end up with an experimental drug developed by a mad scientist. Naturally, they take it – embarking on a long trip that leaves them unprepared when the drug’s developers come looking for their product.
5 Dark Hollow

Erupcja has been Charli XCX’s major role to date, following her on a trip to Poland with her boyfriend. While he hopes to propose to her during the trip, the moment they arrive, she ditches him to reconnect with a childhood friend.

9 Mayday

Set in the Soviet Union in the ‘80s, Mayday follows a US Navy pilot on a covert mission who’s shot down in enemy territory by an ex-KGB agent. The twist is that the agent is obsessed with American culture, resulting in an unlikely partnership.
